Just add the possibility for the quiz to ask you to find a sign just reading the sound and other alike options and it would easily become the best app available (I have tried most of them).

Well designed app, perfect for learning hiragana and katakana. Its simple and really easy to use. I recommend it.

First Time i actually get to learn some hiragana or katakana

I really like this app. Nice and clean design. Making good progress with it! Unfortunately the app keeps crashing in the 15th group of Hiragana so I cant continue. Any way you guys could fix this?

Easy and effective

Easy, and doesnt require internet, so you can practice everywhere. Its not enough to really learn japanese, but helps a lot once you understand the letters to associate with vocabulary.

Very simple, no gimmicks, just plane repetitive flash card style memorization. Better than just a flash card program because everything is all set to go and the pricing is very reasonable. No bugs that Ive seen on iOS 9.2

Even though there are some bugs (completion bar can get cut on the right part, some modules need review even when a review has just been made etc) and some modules (eg: what and how) crash easily, I actually really like this app! Its well made, proceeds logically and makes learning japanese easy. Kore apurikeeshon wa sugoi desu!

This is my favourite app for learning Japanese, and I have been downloading and trying so many by now that I feel like my perspective is valid. At the time that I found this app, I already knew hiragana and katakana, so I was mostly drawn to the grammar portion of this app. I especially am loving the way it uses kanji only when introducing words (in my case, I know how to say these vocabulary words but may or may not have learned the kanji or how to conjugate the verbs/use them in a sentence) and it is really helping me understand. I like the way the wordbank grows throughout the "levels" so that you actually have to know which kanji are what, even though the lines they fit onto may give you a little hint, Im finding this still very useful. This app will help you familiarize yourself with kanji, and help you understand the grammar/sentence structure of the language. Im liking it so much I just had to leave a review. Hope this helped!

This app makes learning Japanese so easy. I never thought I would be able to learn and memorize the characters so simply. The quiz-type setup is cool!

Im stationed in Japan and its helping me learn! I just started and Im already recognizing some of the characters its teaching me on printed things wherever I look.

I can hear, see and have time to write out what Im learning.

Ive really enjoyed using this app, I even paid to upgrade it! Totally worth every penny, and I really like the order they introduce new characters. The one issue I have noticed, though, is that when Im using the "Review All" feature, two of the options are always あ and き plus very often と. This takes all the challenge out of the process when the answer will always be the symbol that changed. I also wish that they would make the review feature longer, so that it would always include every character form every lesson you have completed. Right now it is just a hand full. Still an overall spectacular tool. I would absolutely recommend it and I hope that an update might come along to improve my one nitpick.

Im a beginner with absolutely no experience in Japanese at all and Ive found that this app really does a good job at making it easier. Japanese doesnt seem as scary as it did before! Glad I found this app!
