Worth it

This app is a good start for those just getting acquainted with Japanese (like myself). Paying the $6 or $7 was well worth the price of getting all of the included material. Its clear, concise, and well organized.

I like how the lessons start out with learning the kana instead of jumping in to a bunch of conversational phrases without any grammatical foundation.

It would be nice to have a stroke order guide to practice writing each character. Also, some of the audio on the hiragana section sounds a little muddled.

Still, this is a great app and I use it daily.
